Tony Newell

ROANOKE RAPIDS — Tony Newell, 37, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Newell was employed at Lowe’s Distribution Center in Garysburg. 

He is survived by his mother, Bernice Robinson Newell, of Roanoke Rapids; daughters Tyesha Newell and Geniyah Newell, of Hollister; two brothers, Ricky L. Newell, and wife Priscilla, and Charles Newell, and wife Esther, of Roanoke Rapids; and three sisters, Sheryl Coclough, and husband James, and Benisha Newell, of Clayton and Keyona Newell; of Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at Quankey Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with the Reverend Joseph L. Battle officiating.

Interment will follow at Simmons Grace Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
